Stl.lab — jewelry from the future
STL (short for “stereolithography”) is a 3D model format used for 3D printing. The accessories are inspired by bionic forms, parametrically designed, and produced using 3D printing technology.
The brand’s founder, Tamara Trusova, is a certified architect. Her passion for programming led her to experiment with complex sculptural forms in jewelry. To reflect the uniqueness of the pieces, we immersed ourselves deeply in the method of parametric design. All models are created in Grasshopper — a parametric modeling tool based on a node system. The pattern of interwoven nodes became the main source of inspiration for the design.
Packaging design
As part of the identity project, we also developed a unique packaging design for the jewelry. When closed, the box displays only abstract lines. Once the transparent sleeve is removed, the lines transform into a fragment of code, revealing the “digital underside” of the piece.
